I discovered Ken Ham's creation ministry a dozen years ago, and am so happy I did!
I have used all his material as wonderful witnessing tools of the truth of God's Word.
Thank you for your curriculum. I will be teaching my 4-5-6 grades Sunday School class with them. May the Lord richly bless you and your ministry!

I can't believe Christians feel comfortable telling their children about the genocide of the Canaanites.
I suppose, if you start it off with your god's destruction of the entire earth, it follows naturally, that it would also
have disdain for the women, children and animals of Jericho too.
Thousands of gods have come and gone in the history of this planet, your god is no different.
In time, it will be abandoned, and forgotten in the mists of time.
Humanity will always suffer injustice as long as religion exists.
[Editor reply: Comfortable? God wants us complete, not comfortable. I'm quite uncomfortable talking about how God chose to execute military orders in the conquest of Canaan. But I can't change what the Bible says or sugar-coat it to make you feel comfortable. My God IS different. His name is Jesus and He is alive and well and evidently His story (history) has not been forgotten.]

When I was a child, I used to believe that a jolly fat man
in a red suit came once a year to give me presents. This
was a story told to me by parents and since I was a young
naive child, I believed it. At least I know now Santa Claus
doesn't exist because I grew up and realised that there is
no evidence for him. None whatsoever. You know who
else has no evidence for his existence? GOD.
Not just the Christian god, any god. Thor, Allah, Zeus, Apollo, Ra,
Horus etc. For every God that has ever existed or will
exist that man can invent. The Bible isn't proof of
God's existence, the same way the Lord of the Rings
isn't proof of the existence of Orcs, Goblins and Ents.
It is for this reason that I find it disgusting that these
children are indoctrinated with the idea that the Christian
God is somehow more likely to exist than any of the other
ancient Gods, when he is just as likely to exist as a Unicorn.
The scientific method is a robust framework for explaining the
natural world and it's the reason why the technology you exploit
works, i.e. Computers, motor vehicles, aerospace vehicles,
television .... Pretty much everything modern civilisation
is founded on. Therefore, you can't discard the scientific
method when it doesn't agree with your old book. Stop
brainwashing your children and give them a chance to think
for themselves instead of psychologically scarring them
for life with fairytales about eternal damnation when they don't
adhere to the rules of an imaginary being.
[Editor reply: You are not the first person to chide me about trying to influence the minds and hearts of children of ALL ages. I hope somewhere along your journey others will share the love of God in a meaningful way that will stir your spirit, not just your mind, into a realization that Christmas wasn't about Santa Claus, but God reaching out to you.]

This is good stuff I can use for the devotions for our awana group.
The children in our community don't know the stories of the bible but
they come to church for awana for fun and fellowship and learn the verses.
Sometimes my imagination goes dry and I need a fresh idea so thank you for
your children's sermons.

and have used yours as a guide. These sermons are
going over so great that the adults are enjoying them
as much as the Young People.
Again thank you and God Bless.

Hi Jim.

On your Jericho kids sermon you mention that archaeologists have verified the bible's story via the ancient remains.

Please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho#Walls_of_Jericho

It appears the opposite is true actually. I'm guessing you just didn't know.. best to keep up to date and accurate on these things.

Also, I'd recommend leaving out the "God told them to kill every living thing", kids generally ask things like "Even the babies, and kids?"... not sure if they are ready for that yet!
Great site!
[Editor response: Wikipedia is open for anyone to upload. Here is a direct quote from their site: "It is edited by volunteers in wiki fashion, meaning articles are subject to change by nearly anyone. Wikipedia's volunteers enforce a policy of "neutral point of view" whereby views presented about notable persons or literature are summarized without an attempt to determine an objective truth. Because of its open nature, vandalism and inaccuracy are problems in Wikipedia."
So I beg to differ that I'm not keeping up or accurate about these things. Regarding my sensitivity on the material covered, my audience is the teacher who can make choices that are age appropriate to the audience. No doubt the Book of Joshua and the conquest of Canaan is one of the most controversial subjects in the Bible. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you as you minister to the children.]

Your web site is such a blessing to me and I just
wanted to write and say thanks. I am one of a team that
teaches God's truth at a small church
in TN. God has really blessed our youth group with growth.
When God put it on my heart to start picking kids up for
church about 5 years ago we only had 4 in our youth group
we now have between 30-40 on Wednesday nights. Your
site really helped me to lay out a lesson that could relate
to all age groups since we rotate between teaching crafts
and praise and worship I teach Pre k through High school thank you
so much for all you do.
sincerly,
michelle
